Remove AI Metadata from Your Photos

About this tool

Remove AI metadata, EXIF, XMP and C2PA from photos locally in your browser. Clean up to 30 images and save a ZIP. Free, no sign-up or image uploads.

What are EXIF, XMP and C2PA?

EXIF can hold camera settings, capture times and GPS. XMP and IPTC can describe software, authorship or edits; C2PA / JUMBF containers can carry Content Credentials. PNG text chunks may hold prompts or workflows. Cleanup works on supported file containers, retaining orientation and color data needed for display. Field coverage varies by format.

Preparing photos for Instagram or TikTok

Before sharing your own photos, inspect the original, clean metadata you do not want to disclose, save a copy and inspect that copy again. This edits file metadata, not AI-related pixels or invisible pixel watermarks such as SynthID. It cannot guarantee that Instagram, TikTok or another platform will omit an AI label.

Does cleanup change image quality or format?

Supported JPEG, PNG and WebP container cleanup preserves encoded image data. HEIC and AVIF are decoded and exported as PNG, so format, size and color rendering may change. Keep originals and check orientation, transparency and colors before sharing. Limit: 30 images per batch, 15 MB and 16 megapixels each; animated and multi-image inputs are unsupported.

Questions & answers

How do I use Batch image metadata cleanup?

Select images, process locally, then save individual files or a ZIP of successful results. Up to 30 images, 15 MB each.

What limits should I know about?

Cleanup targets attached metadata, not pixel-level AI detection. No credential signature validation or guarantee of platform label changes.
