P2P File Sharing Link: Create Expiring Pairing Links for Direct Browser-to-Browser Transfer

About this tool

Create an expiring P2P file sharing link (15 minutes default, 1 hour max) and send files directly between browsers over WebRTC with verified receiver receipts. No cloud file storage or server uploads.

Direct file transfer with a pairing link

The link only pairs browsers temporarily; the recipient cannot collect a file from a server after the sender goes offline. Keep both pages open until final receiver confirmation. Both devices need a reachable site address: 127.0.0.1 refers to each device itself. Complex NAT can block a direct connection; this site does not switch files to a server relay.

Questions & answers

How do I use P2P file sharing?

Create a pairing link for the receiver, connect and send directly. The link holds temporary pairing data, not a cloud file.

What limits should I know about?

Both peers must stay online; links expire after 15 minutes by default with no offline pickup. Do not share 127.0.0.1 across devices. Complex NAT may block direct connections; no TURN file relay.

Where do my files and data go?

Files travel directly over WebRTC. This site stores temporary pairing descriptions, key hashes and expiry, not files or offline hosting.
